This name was instituted in 1964 and remained until 1972 when it became the now California State University, Los Angeles. So with that bit of history we are able to date this piece as most likely being made during that 6 year window.

What we can say is this piece is very heavy with over 5 ounces of sterling silver contrasted with a stately blue enamel. It is beautifully crafted with an arts and crafts era aesthetic. And it's looking for a new home. It has not been polished in order to maintain its rich patina and enhanced character. The original blue velvet ribbon is included, though its not in the the best condition. Feel free to change that if you must.
