Solid Silver Enamel FOB Medal Mitcham Athletics Club Memorabilia Bham Hallmark

Vintage Hallmarked Solid Silver Medal / Fob / Pendant for Mitcham Athletic Club (Hallmark 1938). This was made by Herbert Bushell & Son in Birmingham, I believe the hallmark is 1938, but it could be 1913 (unusually they are the same). Mitcham Athletic Club and Sutton & Cheam Harriers merged in 1985 to form Sutton & District Athletics Club. They have many international athletes.

Their Latin motto which is also on the fob is Nil Desperandum, this translates to " Never Despair " or " do not despair". Mitcham is in the London Borough of Merton (formerly Surrey). This features the Mitcham Athletics Club motif. The FOB is a lovely Art Deco Geometric shape and is in excellent condition. A nice piece of Vintage Antique memorabilia in the form of an. Enamel Watch FOB / Medal. The silver and enamel are in nice condition with crisp readable Hallmarks.
