Behind the heart (by sliding the front of the rose enameled heart) is an engraved image of miraculous Mary. The back of the medal has an engraved "M" with a cross on the top and the "sacred hearts" underneath surrounded by twelve stars. The large "M" represents Mary as mother.

The left heart is the sacred heart and the right heart is the immaculate heart. The twelve stars represent the 12 apostles who formed the first church. Includes an elegant deluxe velour jewelry box.
